About the Stylist

Hi! My name is Tash and I’m the face behind TLC Hair Studio.

I’m an island girl through-and-through, born and raised on the west coast. I’m also a mother to a spirited daughter named Aaliyah who is my absolute everything.

After high school I knew I wanted to pursue hairstyling. Growing up my mother was a hair stylist and she would bring me into the salon where I got the chance to see other inspiring, talented women chasing their salon dreams. I wanted to do just that.

After obtaining my certification from the Academy of Excellence, I began practicing at a couple reputable hair salons and building my experience and knowledge in the industry. I learned there is a lot more to being a hairstylist than just doing ones hair. I got to tap into other passions I had - a therapist for my clients, a photographer for my work, and all that was missing was being a business owner.

With over 10 years of salon experience, I’ve built the career of my dreams, and I get the creative freedom to do what I love in my own home studio. I’m the person people can come to for not only their hair needs but also to truly let their hair down and feel comfortable talking about their day.

When I’m not styling hair, I love to play piano and guitar, as well as curate the best playlists for my clients. I also appreciate a good diy home design project. Music and design means so much to me and fuels my Gemini spirit.
